Brand Charrette

Whether you were able to attend the Charrette or not, we want to share some outcomes with the participants and community as well as communicate the next steps in the branding process.

Below is a list of all those invited to participate in the Brand Charrette held at the Olympic Training Center August 1 and 2. Nearly 100 people attended at some point during these two days. As evidenced by the list below, the project has benefitted from a wide variety of participants and organizations. There was some wonderful media coverage on the Charrette that published this week. Please see the links below.

The Charrette provided an environment for the regional brand task force, Stone Mantel and all of the participants to have a deep dialogue and bring rich descriptive words to the forefront. This, along with the secondary research and community interviews, will allow Stone Mantel to come back to the regional brand task force with three possible strategic directions to consider. Once the task force reviews these scenarios, it is our plan to share them with you for your input. This should take place via email the week of August 15th.

Once the strategic direction is decided, Stone Mantel will develop three different creative treatments of the tag line, logo, etc. In order to validate the overall process, the task force intends to hire an outside firm to conduct quantitative research on the three creative approaches. This should take place in early to mid September. After creative is finalized, we will announce the new brand.

In the meantime, we ask you to be advocates for the brand. You have now seen all the work that has gotten us to this point. Think about how you can incorporate the new logo and tagline into your 2012 communication plan. When complete, this new brand will be a step forward in uniting our city and region with an identity and image we call all be proud of and promote with conviction. Thank you again for your time and commitment.
